* trying to convince the kids that a day at home is a GOOD thing
* college football game day - yay!
* laundry, laundry, laundry - oh, and more laundry
* beginning the change-out of seasonal clothes
* sermon still to be completed at some point before I sleep tonight
* glad that the little boy down the street feels comfortable playing here, but wishing he would learn to press the doorbell just once and not 10 times
* glad that my house is a place where kids can play, and repeating that to myself over and over as I also wish it was the sanctuary from chaos - can't have it both ways
* nap today. . . doubt it, but wishful thinking

yes. very challenging to be the house were everyone wants to play and have a sanctuary for sermon writing...a holy chaos.
I hope that, as my son grows, my home can be the neighborhood kids' hangout. You're giving them a gift and Mompriest's words "holy chaos" are right on the money!
